Isn't this a GOOD change?

From a review (here's the original):

Outside kiddie pool-- kids love it BUT only 1 life gaurd on duty and he did very little. They changed hot tub rules to 16 and over (Used to be for everyone) Now all Lguards do is police that area instead of drowning kids.

Thanks to Sailorgirl45 for sending this to us!

We should make a site with only positive reviews. And pictures of kittens and rainbows.

An e-mail to TA support:

Trip Advisor,I've been scanning places to go in the Bahamas, and also Mexico. I have never seen so many negative comments!!! After reading all the negative comments of the 12 or more hotels I looked into for a Bahamas visit, I don't want to go there! Some negative reviews are ok but it is really getting depressing. I'd like to stay in Isla Mujerles (island off of Cancun) but there seems to be nowhere to stay!Just a comment -- I would keep some of negative people away.

"The damn customers! Always eating in front of me and NOT SHARING!"

From a cover letter:

"I am considered to be a person of rapid learning, active, demanding, enterprising, confident, intelligent, and after my experience with customers, I am, above all, hungry."

But the Owl likes to party all the time!

When we're not sure if a property meets our listing requirements, we send out an e-mail with questions. Sometimes we ask this:

Are the rooms available to separate parties of guests at the same time, or do you rent out the entire property as a whole to one group at a time?

We got this response:

"The rooms of P---------- are NOT available for any kind of parties. It is a guest house."

The grossest review we've seen in a while

A review, with photos (view the original for more disgusting photos):

Bathroom celing was leaking massive urine

by MadamZCalifornia

Lights

I give his hotel ZERO stars. Since it doesnt allow me to rate it at ZERO, i choose 1 star. We stayed there for NYE and had a standard room. The room smelled horrible. We were gagging. It smelled like sour milk and feet mixed. We walked to ABC store and Walgreens down the street to get three bottles of air freshner. The lady who worked at ABC said a lot of people who stayed at the Plaza come here to buy air fresheners! I used about half a bottle and thought it would do it. But no.....Everytime we came back to the room the nasty smell came back. We had to hold our breath and spray the room everytime we got back to our room. At night, the toilet and sink made horrible noises. They were definitely having some faucet problems. The next day, I got lightly shocked by turning on the bathroom light. There was sparks. I left the light on. Moments later, the bathroom ceiling was leaking with water. The bathroom light was filled with water and the light was blinking. It was scary because I didnt know what would happen..it felt so dangerous with the water and electricity. I didnt DARE try to turn the light off. We stayed away. Well at first we thought it was water. Keep on reading. It was practically raining and it got worse and worse. We called the front desk and it took them a long time to send someone up. The entire bathroom floor was flooded with about 1" of "water" and spreaded toward the carpet. Then the water started to turn YELLOW and it smelled like URINE. We had clothes in the bathroom so all our clothes smelled like urine!!!! It was disgusting. We had to move the chairs from the room and climbed on them because we didnt want to step on the urine get our stuff in the bathroom. The entire toilet was flooded with yellow/brownish water. We were traumatized. It was totally disgusting and we were afraid we would get sick! While we were still waiting, the ceiling where the air conditioner was started to leak as well. We were FREAKED OUT. We couldnt leave the room because we had our belongings. We kept calling the Front desk and they kept putting us on hold. We demanded to get comped and upgraded to another room. The lady said there werent any rooms available and offered to give us a refund for the second night. We were furious because it was NYE and all hotels were booked. We had nowhere to go. So we went downstairs and complained to the Manager. The Manager then said they would give us an upgraded room and comp us for the 2nd night. We were pissed because the lady said there werent any rooms earlier. They were so dishonest with us. We actually wanted to get comped for both nights but they were so difficult to deal with we just decided to stick with what they offered. It was a horrible experience. We felt that they should have at least comped us for our entire stay. Thank god the upgraded room had no smells and no leakage. But we will never stay there again. PS. the 7.77 buffet was horrible. We had major stomach aches and diaherrea after eating there.. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

A reasonable request

From A.M. (thanks for sharing this!):

This is prompted by your e-mail about funny things spotted on holiday. (I have already written a comprehensive report on this hotel in Vilamoura, Portugal). Notice on the mini-bar in our room: "Items in this mini bar are for private sale by the hotel.  Guests are therefore requested not to put their private parts in the mini-bar." It was quite warm weather!

While you're at it, keep your head out of the safe, too.
